Hi, I'm Óscar.
As a frontend developer, I used to spend more than 10 hours a day in front of the screen. Absorbed by the code, I ignored the signals my body was sending me. I gained 20 kilos, lost my patience with my daughters, and stopped spending quality time with them. The turning point came during a routine medical check-up: lifelong medication and risk of heart attack. With two small girls at home, I knew I had to change. But I wasn’t looking to go to the gym for an hour. I was looking for something that would integrate into my daily life as a developer. That’s how "exercise snacks" were born: micro-breaks of 2-5 minutes between commits, between meetings, while code compiles. FitSnacks is the app I needed and didn’t exist. I created it so that no developer ever has to choose between their passion for code and their own health. Because both can —and should— coexist.
